With the bullion value of silver continue to rise, you may find that the silver value for old silver coins is worth more than their face value.
For example, based on a silver value of $17.37/ounce the following values would be true:
Silver dollar - $13.43
Half dollar - $6.28
Quarter - $3.14
Dime - $1.26
Nickel - $0.98

While you may find these bullion values exciting, keep in mind the coins may have more numismatic value. Therefore, should you find an old silver coin - check on it's collector value before selling it solely based on its silver content. It should be noted that some of the older coins, and in some cases the not-so-old coins as well with a low mintage can be highly desirable and fetch a good market value regardless of their silver content.
